All applicants must have completed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or their equivalent in any Field of study. However, if an applicant has taken the O-Level examination an applicant must have passed at least five subjects (including mathematics). In case of A level examination an applicant must have passed at least tow subjects. It is important to note that applicants with O-Level and A-Level certificates must a minimum of grade D in any subjects.

The minimum qualifying point is five for all applicants. The point determination is lad out in the table below:

Letter grades of O-Level subjects are converted to grade points (A=4, B-3, C-2, D=1) Grade Point. Average (GPA) is calculated by averaging the grade points of the five best grades for O- For all other certificates, equivalence will be determined by the Equivalence Committee of IBA.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

All Bangladeshi applicants must take the admission test. The test has two components: written and communication. Two Written Test assesses the applicants aptitudes in:

Language

Mathematics : and Analytical ability

To qualify in the Written –Test an applicant must obtain a minimum qualifying score in each of the above areas: Applicants will be selected for the Communication Test on the basis of their performances in the Written Test.

The final selection for admission will be based on the scores obtained by an applicant in the Written Test and the Communication Test.

Foreign applicants with a score of 1700 or more in SAT Reasoning Test (with at least 550 in Critical Reading an Math and at (each 500 in Writing), may be made by IBA on a case –by-case basis and exemption cases will be assessed on the basis of IBA Communication Test score, SAT Reasoning Test Score, and academic references.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The Application Package will be available at the Curzon hall Branch of Agrani Bank, University of Dhaka, on payment of Tk. 550/- (non-refundable) from Wednesday, October 24, 2007 onwards. Altematively, the Application package may be obtained from the BBA Program Officer via mail by enclosing a Bank Draft for Tk. 550/- drawn in favour of “BBA” Admission, IBA", and a self-addressed return envelope (size 10"×8") affixed with Tk. 35/- postage stamp.

The filled-in application from along with required documents must be submitted to the BBA Program Office between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on any working day starting Thursday, October 25,2008.
